Лотос и папирус
Священные растения Древнего Египта. Стилизованные изображения цветов и бутонов белой водяной лилии, ошибочно называемый «лотосом», зонтиков и листьев папируса - традиционный элемент декоративного искусства Древнего Египта. Белая водяная лилия использовался для украшения , а на листьях Папируса писались древнеегипетские книги. Цветы этих растений использовались в качестве подношений Богам, украшении храмов и жилищ. Водяная лилия и Папирус являются символами всей древнеегипетской цивилизации, культуры и канонов красоты. Кроме того цветок белой водяной лилии символизирует непрерывность жизни, чувственность и красоту, а папирус традиционно связывался с мудростью, сохранением знаний и традиций

Water Lily flower (Egyptian "Lotus")
In ancient Egypt, the water Lily was considered a sacred plant. The flowers of this plant were used to decorate temples, clothing, hair, for offerings to the gods. White water Lily symbolizes the resurrection and is an attribute of Hathor - forever young the goddess of love and beauty, music and dance. Without these flowers there was not a single ceremony, dedicated to the Goddess. The esoteric meaning of the flower Lily - spiritual growth, revealing of the inner potential, the transition to new levels of awareness. Lilies grow in water, which symbolically connects this plant with the “Water of life”, to the oceans, from which according to the ideas of the Egyptians all living things.
Mistakenly, this flower is often called the Lotus, but the flowers classic pink Lotus appeared in Ancient Egypt in the 5th century BC with the Persian conquerors, when Egyptian civilization was already starting to decline.
