Хор (Гор)

Сокол в представлении древних египтян – воплощение мужской божественной природы. В древнеегипетской мифологии Хор - сын Изиды и Осириса, Великий владыка неба, победивший в битве силы хаоса в образе Сетха и воскресивший, пожертвовав собственным правым глазом своего отца - Осириса. Его имя означает “тот, кто в вышине”. Египтяне представляли Хора в виде Божественного сокола с сияющими глазами - солнцем и луной. Часто встречаются изображения Хора в виде человека с головой сокола. Он олицетворяет также могущественное тепло полуденного солнца. Этот бог символизировал власть, которая рассеивает зло и наполняет мир блистающим светом.
